Please help!! I just don't understand why it's doing this?
Okay my original problem was masking a top layer on top of a bottom, to make a manipulation. And the coloring came out wrong when I tried to make both the same color:
(original post)
NOW, I tried it with a different clip, duplicated one and setting the top to one color and the the other to the same color (or in this example, the bottom to bnw) and it has NO PROBLEM doing it. The bottom layer coloring does not change or get a weird film over it, like that top example does.
So then I thought, maybe it is because they were the same size, and the top example involves two diff screen sizes, so I changed the bottom layer to widescreen, but it still worked:
+
But I don't need the clips from the second example, I need the clips from the first. Here's another example, with the same movie being used but two different, and the top layer, again, makes the bottom layer filmy:

Can anyone tell me how to PLEASE fix this? I'm begging my little heart out here.
