Windows Movie Maker problem...

Hey, I'm new here. =)

I have a problem with Windows Movie Maker. I'm trying to make a video, and every time I import certain videos, I get a message that says "Windows Movie Maker has encountered an inconvienence, and needs to shut down". The videos I'm trying to import are .avi files, and normally, WMM can take those. They're both about 21 minutes long, but I don't really think the size is the problem, as I have successfully made videos with footage from and hour and a half movie. Is there anything I can do to prevent this from happening? Thanks. =)

Edit: Okay, I'm having another problem and since I don't want to post for the third time in three days, I'm going to edit this one. The preview window isn't working. When I try to preview my video, nothing happens, and it's really getting on my nerves because I can't make a video if I can't preview what it's like so far. How do I fix this, if possible? Thanks.
