Burning DVDs

Hi.  I've asked some friends about this and gotten different opinions, so I thought I'd throw the question out to this community and see if I could gain consensus.

I have a friend who would like to get her hands on copies of certain episodes of a British television program.  I have a region-free DVD player and the region 2 DVD box set for this show.  The entire series is ripped already and in AVI format on my hard drive.  I vid, but have never made DVDs of my work.  Thus my confusion.  :-)  I'm on a PC with Vista, work with Premiere Pro, Virtual Dub, and have a DVD burner.  I'm not entirely sure what burning software I have.  Something came with the computer; I think it's some form of Roxio.  But I need to check.  I'd be willing to download or buy another program if necessary.  I'm trying to figure out the best way to burn multiple episodes from multiple discs onto a series of DVDs for my friend (I'm not giving her the entire run of the show, just selected episodes--I believe around 8 or 10 total).

How should I go about this with the least angst?  Any suggestions?
