Help needed, bad rendering

Hi, I've been a member of this community for a while, and can say I love the help that comes across here. I'm hoping someone can help me with a problem that I am having.

I am in serious need of some help. I've been working on this video for now 4 days straight now and it's starting to upset me. When I am making the video and previewing it in the program that I am using (I've tried numerous different programs now), it looks good, no problems. I've made a video using some of these same clips a week ago and it turned out without problems.

The problem comes in when I render the file. I've tried different codexes, formats, bitrates, everything I can think of, but it is all ending up the same. Parts of it are choppy, and then in some clips it is flashing back to the start of the main clip (like real quick flashes that are just annoying, about less than a second long)

I am at my wits end, and about ready to just trash the whole thing, or at least my computer. Any help would be great. If anyone has any ideas of what I might have done wrong to begin with, or how I can fix this problem, I'd be in your debt forever.

I've used Cyberlink Director 5, Sony Vegas, Ulead 10, and MAGIX Movie Edit Pro 11, if that helps. The file types I've used are .vob, .avi, .mpg, and .mxv
