question about equipment

Hello, I'm been in this community for a while, but I don't think I've ever posted.

Mostly what I see here is about post processing, but I have an equipment question.

I'm an amateur photographer, and I'm discussing video with a client. Since my emphasis is photography, I don't have a lot of experience with video. A friend of mine will do it, but the question of equipment has come up. Is there a good, reliable website for video equipment rental?

I'm very familar with canon's dslr camera and lens lineup, and could rent camera bodies and lenses that are suited for video work from the same site I plan on renting the stills equipment from. But I'd prefer something that where video was native and wasn't subject to the limitations of dslr video; such as the rolling shutter and hot pixels, as well as a 4 gig limit to the file size. The 4 gig limit is the biggest thing, unless these things are easily workable and can produce a superior product.

Keeping cost down is something to consider.

For those who know dslr video, I'd want to rent the 60d for it's articulating screen and manual sound control. And I know that only the best lenses produce good video, but would the L zooms work, such as the 24-70 2.8 and 70-200 2.8, or do you really need the primes?

What tripods are good? These from lens rentals look like they'd do the trick, but any issues with these?

Anything else to add with dslr video?
